Land Bank Reform

Commissioner Davis passed a new land bank policy after two years of study, streamlining development. This new policy adds more staff, promotes accountability, increases transparency, allows for yards extensions and community gardens while keeping housing/commercial developments as the primary focus.

Community Investment

Commissioner Davis enacted the first Community Benefit Ordinance, directing developer revenue towards childcare, housing, and parks investments.

Home Ownership Preservation

Commissioner Davis championed the KCK Homes for Generations Ordinance, aiding families in retaining home ownership from one generation to the next (program begins 2026 pending fund allocations).

Improving trash services

Commissioner Davis voted for no-additional cost cart trash and recycling services for taxpayers.

New dEVELOPMENTS

Commissioner Davis reclaimed close to $100k from the Kansas City Monarchs to the UG General Fund and UG Parks Project. Because these efforts, Commissioner Davis has helped secure $20k from the TURF to build a new dog park at Welborn Park.
